Shoulder Extension Strengthening with a Therapy Band - Triceps

Securely attach a therapy band around your right foot. Grasp the therapy band handle in your right hand.

Place your left knee and lower leg on the edge of a firm bed or firm sofa. Place your left palm on the mattress or sofa and lean forward and support your weight on your left hand. Your left arm is straight.

You're activating your stomach muscles and keeping your back straight, parallel to the floor. Your neck is straight, in line with your back. Your right elbow is pressed gently against your side and your elbow is bent to 90 degrees.

Next, straighten your right elbow to 90 degrees [this is extension]. You'll feel the muscular contraction behind your right arm. Relax and return to the starting position.
